Getting Involved

Regional Friends Groups

Learn more

Across the country there are informal groups of people meeting together to discuss how to engage in conversational ministry well.

Want to meet others near you who are passionate about conversational ministry? Why not consider joining a regional friends group?

You can find out more about these groups and how to get in touch on this blog post or email us at

These groups are independent networks of likeminded individuals, and run as either:

Network groups:
Opportunities for people to learn more about conversational ministry generally.

or

Alumni groups:
Opportunities for those who have studied with BCUK to continue to hone the skills learned within the Certificate Programme.

Currently there are groups running in South Wales, Scotland, Ireland, Birmingham, London, West Yorkshire, South Yorkshire, Lancashire and the Lakes, Liverpool, Devon, Wiltshire, Newcastle, Sussex, Bedfordshire/Hertfordshire/Buckinghamshire, and Essex – with more on the way. Some are open to all, others require some prior study.

BCUK does not run these groups but operates a regional friends scheme whereby some groups can choose to link themselves to BCUK.

“Great to meet with friends, read books, listen to speakers, and learn to love others more”

— Church Leader

New regional friends groups

If you are interested in establishing a new regional friends group, we would love to hear from you.

If you are keen to meet with like-minded people in your area to discuss conversational ministry, please do get in touch. It may be we know of others keen to link up. It may be you have a great idea to galvanise interest in your town or city which we may be able to encourage you in.

Anyone can meet with their friends to discuss conversational ministry but we can provide help and encouragement to appropriately experienced people wanting to start something new or grow something existing.
