Tim Huey works as a General Practitioner and has been involved in biblical counselling since 2013. He has studied with CCEF and provides training and teaching on mental health and pastoral care issues. He is married with four children and serves as an elder in Whiteabbey Presbyterian Church.

Steve Midgley serves as the Executive Director of BCUK. He is on the boards of both CCEF and the Biblical Counseling Coalition. Formerly the vicar of Christ Church Cambridge, Steve continues to serve the church family there. Before ordination he trained as a psychiatrist.

Sophie Gower is is a teacher and pastoral worker. She has a degree in theology and is a mentor on the BCUK Intern Scheme. She is part of the steering team for the Devon regional biblical counselling local interest group. She has taught in both church and secular contexts, in both the UK (with UCCF, and as a church-based women’s worker) and overseas (with IFES). She is married and is part of a local church family near her home in Devon.

Jane Davies trained as a nurse and worked in palliative care before having children. She studied online with CCEF and completed the BCUK 2-year intern scheme in 2021, and is on the steering committee for her local biblical counselling interest group. She is involved in pastoral care in her church, and meets with people there, and from other local churches, as a biblical counsellor.

Mark Ventham is one of the pastors of Christ Church Haywards Heath in Sussex, where he has served since 2009. Previously Mark was studying at Oak Hill Theological college and prior to this he was an Assistant Pastor for seven years for a church in Warwickshire.

Ros Ventham works alongside her husband Mark in gospel ministry in Haywards Heath, and is Mum to two sporty teenage boys. She’s previously been a secondary school maths teacher and a school’s worker.

Ste and Jane have been studying counselling with CCEF since 2008, and Ste has served as a pastoral intern with CCEF in Philadelphia, PA. They have three grown up and three school-age children.

Eleanor Godwin trained as a GP before leaving the NHS to concentrate on being a mum. She has completed BCUK’s Certificate Programme and a 2-year BCUK Internship at St Giles Church in Derby, where she still volunteers as a Pastoral Worker part-time. She also works privately as a biblical counsellor in the East Midlands and serves as a mentor on the BCUK Intern Scheme.

Kenny Larsen is the Associate Pastor at Christ Church Walkley, Sheffield, with a focus on pastoral care and discipleship. He studied theology at Oak Hill College before undertaking more specialised training with Biblical Counselling UK and CCEF.

Becci Bitsios-Esposito has completed the BCUK Certificate Programme and is training for an accredited counselling qualification. She has a background in advice and advocacy and is currently involved in her family’s business, raising three young children, and informal ministry in her local church.

Helen Thorne-Allenson is Director of Training and Resources at BCUK. An experienced speaker, counsellor and author, she has completed CCEF’s certificate courses and holds an MA in Applied Theology.

Emily Agnew is the Pastoral Care Co-ordinator and PA to the Vicar at St Peter’s, Harold Wood, Essex. She has completed the BCUK Certificate Programme and Intern Scheme.

Kerstin Bowsher has studied the BCUK Certificate Programme and has completed the church-based internship. She has extensive experience of pastoral work, training, and writing. She is starting to grow a biblical counselling ministry in South Wales and is one of the founder members of the South Wales friends of BCUK group.

Nicola Eggertsen is Training and Resources Officer at BCUK. A Certificate Programme graduate, she has a Soul Care practice in Trowbridge and is doing further study with the Association of Biblical Counsellors.
