With thankfulness to God for his continued provision, we wanted to let you know of some staff changes at BCUK over this season.
Firstly, towards the end of October, we will saying a fond farewell to Helen Thorne-Allenson as she steps down from her role as Director of Training and Resources and departs the BCUK staff team.
Steve Midgley writes:
Over the past six years Helen has been at the heart of so many of our ministry initiatives. We are so deeply grateful to God for the gifts he has given Helen and for the many ways they have served our ministry at BCUK. We would not be the organisation we are today were it not for her input. Going forward Helen is prayerfully putting together a portfolio of new ministry roles and we are delighted that, time permitting, Helen will continue to have input to our ministry through her teaching, writing and training.
Do be praying for Helen in this period of transition, and for BCUK as we adapt to ministry without the blessing of her many gifts.
Recently, we have been delighted to welcome two new members of staff to the BCUK team:
Lottie Driver joins us as our new Partner Engagement Manager, bringing a wealth of fundraising and partner engagement experience from her previous roles at different charities. Lottie will be working to secure and nurture long-term partnerships with donors, major donors, trusts, alumni, and those who pray for BCUK.
We also welcome Ailsa Yuille to the team as Media and Communications Assistant. Ailsa joins us from OMF International UK and will be serving BCUK in different areas of communication, including developing our social media and video content, along with our website and newsletters.
Do join us in thanking God for Helen and her incredibly fruitful ministry as part of BCUK, and in praying for Lottie and Ailsa as they begin their roles with us. Paul’s prayer for the Colossians would be a great prayer to pray for these dear sisters in Christ, and for the whole staff team at BCUK:
We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light.
