COURSE WORK
This course aims to equip you with a biblical understanding of who God is and how he relates to his people, so that when – in conversation – you hold out words of life, you can do so faithfully, clearly and with confidence in Scripture. The course will provide you with an overview of Kingdom theology, an introduction to the major doctrines of the Christian faith, a chance to reflect on the person and work of Christ – and an opportunity to apply that theological richness to your own life and to your ministry conversations.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
- Develop a robust understanding of biblical theology that will support faithful opening of Scripture in conversation
- Promote reflection on key doctrines in ways that will promote clear understanding of who God is and how he relates to his people, especially in times of suffering
- Enable students to reflect on the person and work of Christ, and understand the richness of his sacrifice
- Engage in personal and ministry reflection in ways that connect the riches of Scripture, and the specifics of doctrine, to the realities of life
