Laura works for two local churches in the Nottingham area coordinating their biblical counselling ministries. She qualified as a clinical psychologist before training in biblical counselling, which provided her first experience of working with people who had suffered traumatic experiences. In-between those two roles she worked for a mission agency providing member care for British missionaries working overseas.
