Pastoring Those Who Mourn – Edinburgh

As church leaders, we have the privilege and responsibility of pastoring people in all kinds of circumstances – inevitably there are times when that involves pastoring through loss.

In these afternoon events, we will be offering all in church leadership (in various paid or unpaid roles – men and women) the opportunity to reflect on grief and be equipped to walk alongside those who are hurting. Through engagement with scripture, we will be looking at the scope of grief, the spiritual impact of loss, the struggle of mourning, and the skills we can all develop to support others well (whether that’s preaching on loss, preparing for pastoral meetings with those who are bereaved, running a support group or co-ordinating a church-wide practical response).

With plenty of opportunities to ask questions and browse resources over refreshments too, we hope these afternoons will provide encouragement as you seek to pastor those who mourn.
